When most guys in high school were chasing girls and getting into trouble, WLDCT was discovering his love for music as the frontman of a punk/ska band. Opening for bands like Fishbone, VooDoo Glow Skulls, Blink 182, and even sharing studio time with Face To Face frontman Trevor Keith he knew the music world was where he belonged.
During the decline of the punk scene, WLDCT started looking for new ways to stay connected to music. Asked by friends if he wanted to dj an in-store event at Urban Outfitters, he accepted the gig and bought his first records at a thrift store. Dokken, Warrant, Ratt, and Phil Collins, the crowd didn’t know what hit them. Loving that warm and fuzzy feeling that spinning the right combo of music gives people he began spinning 80’s music and movie soundtracks at local bars and friends parties. The beast known as WLDCT was unleashed.
While gaining experience at Hollywood hotspots like Hyde Lounge, The Standard, H.Wood, and a weekly residency at The Room he realized that he could incorporate his fashion know-how with the music world. WLDCT began carving his niche by selling high end men’s fashion to world renowned artists Justice, Chromeo, and the late DJ AM. He has since played in-store events at Fred Segal Hollywood & Santa Monica, had his remixes on rotation at the Dior Homme boutique in Beverly Hills, and was the sole DJ for Vivienne Westwood’s Fashion’s Night Out party which acted as an introduction of the iconic designer brand to America.
This mix of fashion and music naturally progressed into the world of celebrity; WLDCT has DJ’d events for The Grammy's, MTV, and The Kardashians amongst other celebrities. You can catch a rare glimpse of WLDCT in captivity at his current weekly residencies at Bodega Wine Bar Pasadena & Santa Monica. Raawwwrrrr.
